Local agent features in BBC drama
A BBC drama, at the centre of which is a corrupt mortgage broker, has used Watford estate agent Rennie and Company’s office to film scenes involving members of the public looking over property particulars.
Not content with just the offices, the drama’s director also requested that the estate agent’s Brian Handley and Stephen Kirsch actually play an acting role in the TV programme.
Mr Kirsch, said: “We were a little wary at first cautious, cross-examining the program director, Dominic Savage, as to the content of the drama and requesting various assurances that the program would in no way reflect negatively on Rennie and Company.
“However, we were quickly reassured and filming was scheduled for the first week in November,” he added.
On the day of filming the morning was spent in Rennie and Company’s offices, with the agents talking through property particulars with some ‘prospective. Then the afternoon was on location in Abbots Langley when actual viewings were carried out and filmed.
The BBC production is called Freefall and is out in February.
