Watford gets turned on

Posted by news desk in Local News, 21st November 2008, 2:39pm

Watford's Christmas tree lights are being switched on next Thursday (27 November), and all residents are invited to St. Mary’s Square in the town centre to watch.

Starting at 5.30pm, the bell ringers of St. Mary’s will welcome everyone to the event before the beautiful, and energy efficient, Christmas lights are switched on.

One Voice Watford, Berrygrove School and Watford Philharmonic Choir will then encourage everyone to join in with the carol singing, and there will be seasonal readings along with refreshments.
