Hertfordshire County Council has launched a virtual ‘one-stop-shop’ for local travel information.

Alongside detailed town maps, timetables and other passenger transport information, the new website, which can be found at www.intalink.org.uk , features journey planning software which allows visitors to plan a whole route in just a couple of minutes, with options to walk, cycle, or catch the bus or train.

Users can also sign up via the website to receive information about service changes, promotions and offers, and to be notified of new publications and travel guides.

Councilor Stuart Pile, executive member for environment, transport and rural affairs, said: “The Intalink site is an invaluable resource for anybody using local passenger transport services, with the all the up-to-date information they need to get to and from their destination."

"With the new, improved site now up and running, we are encouraging people to see for themselves the huge amount of information available at the click of a mouse, and we hope to see many more people taking advantage of the site over the coming months,” added Cllr Pile.
