Kings Langley man returns from Olympics
Ron Smith, a Kings Langley man has returned from the Olympics after winning a competition for his work in the community.
The five-day trip to Beijing was won at his workplace, BT.
The 49-year-old, who was presented with tickets to watch the opening ceremony of the games, has dedicated more than 20 years to improving sporting facilities in Kings Langley.
He raised more than £250,000 from the National Lottery, the Football Association (FA), the Herts FA and by holding local events and competitions, such as a six-a-side competition in June, which raised about £3,000.
