Posted by news desk in Local News, 11th September 2008, 9:39pm

Pupils at an Abbots Langley community special school have received an £18,000 adventure play area from a rugby charity.

Wooden Spoon Charity, which supports mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged children and young people, contributed the £18,000 towards the colourful playground.

The play area, which consists of low-level climbing equipment, balance beams and shaded areas, was opened last week. The new playground will be used to develop play skills, health and fitness and will give pupils the opportunity to learn about personal safety.
